Warm Air Heat Interface
The Aquair HIU is designed to work with a variety of heat sources, including gas, electric, oil, LPG, biomass, and solid fuel, to name a few. Available in five sizes, it offers versatility and ease of installation. The unit captures the heat from the hot water produced by the ASHP and uses it to generate warm air heating, which is then efficiently circulated throughout the property via the existing ductwork of the original warm air heating system.
Johnson & Starley Aquair Heat Interface Units (HIUs) play a crucial role in integrating renewable energy systems like Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) into domestic heating and hot water systems. By working seamlessly together, they help reduce carbon emissions, support the fight against climate change, and contribute to the UK Government’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
They are suitable for both upflow and downflow applications* and can be equipped with the optional 'Cleanflow' electronic air filtration system for enhanced air quality.
