Breakdowns under guarantee

Johnson & Starley provide the following guarantees on their products.

WarmCair warm air heaters and Aquair heat interface units

  • 5 years parts
  • 2 years labour

QuanTec boilers

  • 8 years parts and labour

In the first instance we recommend that the original installer attends the breakdown. Should Johnson & Starley attend and find the fault is due to any installation issue/non compliance then the works will become chargeable to either the customer or the installer.

The units must have been registered in compliance with our terms and conditions and if over 12 months old have a full service history. Any unit that has not been registered defaults to the standard 12 months parts and labour guarantee.

Registrations

Registering a new heater for its guarantee is important and is the homeowners responsibility to ensure that it is done.  We appreciate that many installers like to undertake this for their customers so it is important that it is done correctly, especially should the installer have taken on this responsibility for their customer.

For WarmCair warm air heaters and Quantec boilers the Benchmark commissioning checklist MUST be correctly completed and submitted along with the customers details. Failure to do either of these can result in the guarantee being reduced due to missing information or it reverting to 12months parts and labour only.

  • Registered within 30 days of installation
  • Correctly and fully completed Benchmark commissioning Checklist submitted (not applicable to Aquair)
  • Installer must hold the correct gas safe qualifications.
